DGA Chair Andy Beshear Statement on Governor Josh Shapiro Running for Reelection

DGA Chair Governor Andy Beshear released the following statement on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro running for reelection:

"My good friend Josh Shapiro's decision to run for reelection is great news for the people of Pennsylvania. Since taking office, he has brought people together and gotten stuff done - even with one of the only divided legislatures in the country. Governor Shapiro has delivered on the issues that matter most - from cutting taxes for hardworking families and creating over 18,000 jobs, to delivering historic funding for law enforcement and public education - and he is just getting started.

"Meanwhile, his opponent is fighting for a dangerous agenda that would hurt Pennsylvanians - supporting Washington's drastic healthcare cuts, pushing cost-raising tariffs, and attacking our freedom and our democracy. The contrast in this race could not be clearer, and the DGA looks forward to supporting the Governor as he runs to keep getting stuff done for Pennsylvania families."
