The Merchants Team Finds Gratitude Through Giving Back

Reflecting on the 2025 Season of Giving

As 2025 has come to a close, Merchants Bank, Merchants Capital, and Merchants Foundationare proud to reflect on the meaningful ways our employees gave back to their communities during our annual season of giving. These efforts are always beloved by Merchants staff, as they provide the opportunity to spread joy collectively in support of nonprofits that improve the lives of residents in their neighborhoods and surrounding communities.

As a company-wide initiative, our Indiana branches and regional offices in major cities such as New York City, Chicago, and Bloomington, Minnesota, were brought together under the shared goal of giving back through acts of kindness both big and small. Each office was encouraged to collect and donate needed items to one of eight identified organizations - Wheeler Mission, Journey Home , Bridges for Life, Refuge of Hope , St. Vincent de Paul CARES, People Serving People , Pacific Garden Mission, and House of Good Deeds.

Looking Ahead to 2026

In 2026, Merchants employees continue to focus on strengthening the communities we serve. This commitment is supported through a renewed focus on the MPACT program, which stands for Merchants Positively Advancing Communities T ogether. Entering its eighth year, MPACT promotes finding and committing to ongoing service with 16 hours per year allocated for each employee to spend volunteering.

Collaboration between Merchants Bank, Merchants Capital, and Merchants Foundation will continue to play an important role in prioritizing community support. By working together and sharing financial talents, resources, and connections, Merchants will remain dedicated to supporting those in need and ensuring our communities continue to thrive.

Julia Kaercher

"2026 is already ramping up to be an exciting and fulfilling year for our teams at Merchants," said Julia Kaercher, Executive Director of Merchants Foundation. "In tandem with the important work employees are already doing through the MPACT program, Merchants Foundation continues to identify ways to expand access to housing, healthcare, and education - three pillars of society that greatly contribute to the well-being of each community."
