Dear Members,
Today, we find ourselves at a unique crossroads-an era defined by both extraordinary opportunity and considerable challenge for our industry. SGA is uniquely equipped with the expertise, resources, and vision to help our members meet this moment successfully. As we navigate the landscape shaped by the Trump administration, I want to share with you the tools and strategies we need to prosper together. America's strength has always come from its resilience, innovation, and determination-qualities our industry exemplifies.
To ensure we are fully aligned in meeting the needs of our members, I have personally reached out to each of our committees, encouraging them to push the envelope in their conversations. I've asked them to focus on evolving areas of our industry and to cultivate discussions that generate new insights and expertise. Likewise, I've connected with our staff, ensuring they are aware and focused on supporting our members during this critical time. Together, we are circling the wagons to provide lift and value like never before.
The "Trump Effect" is a hallmark of policy aimed at restoring energy independence, streamlining regulations, and unleashing the full potential of American enterprise. With executive orders promoting deregulation and energy infrastructure, the natural gas sector is positioned to power not just our economy, but our nation's future. These policies offer new avenues for growth, while challenging us to remain good stewards of the environment and responsible contributors to our communities.
The Southern Gas Association (SGA) has long stood as a pillar of support for our members, offering training programs that empower teams to tackle today's challenges with confidence. Whether it's operationalizing new regulations, implementing safety protocols, or enhancing resilience, SGA provides the expertise you need.
In addition to our training programs, SGA offers a wealth of ongoing support and resources designed to help members adapt to new regulatory changes. These include:
Our programs also address the critical demand for energy by equipping members with strategies to optimize operations and embrace innovation. Through webinars, workshops, and certifications, we aim to ensure that every member is prepared to lead in this dynamic era.
To help you navigate these complex changes, we're hosting a Technical Conference on Environmental Permitting and Construction (TCEPC) in San Antonio, TX, on February 10th. The keynote address, "Navigating the Complex Landscape: The Impact of Rulemakings, Executive Orders, and Policy Decisions on the Natural Gas Industry," will be delivered by Ed Newberry, Partner at Squire Patton Boggs. Ed's insights will provide a roadmap for success in this dynamic environment.
As we embrace these new opportunities, let us remember that our industry's greatness lies in its ability to adapt, innovate, and lead. Together, we can ensure a prosperous future-not just for our businesses but also for the nation we proudly serve.
Thank you for your commitment, your ingenuity, and your determination to keep America's energy flowing.
