'Your Graduate School Journey: Ensuring a Positive Experience for Family & Friends', Jan. 29

UAA's Graduate School invites students to discover the enriching professional development opportunities the graduate school offers. These programs focus on enhancing academic skills as well as supporting students' personal journeys through graduate school. Undergraduates and alumni are also welcome to attend. A Zoom session will be available for those unable to attend in person.

Pursuit of an advanced degree is quite a journey and, hopefully, students' loved ones are experiencing it right alongside them. While some family and friends are exceedingly proud of their graduate student, sometimes the academic commitment challenges the status quo. What happens when a students' support network isn't supportive? Are there ways to ensure that graduate school doesn't interfere with relationships? This professional development session for UAA graduate students offers ways to understand your graduate school experience through the eyes of family and friends so all can feel a sense of achievement from start to finish.
