Learn the art of paper quilling at the Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center

December 15, 2025

WASHBURN, N.D. - The Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center, Washburn, invites the public to a hands-on paper quilling workshop Saturday, Feb. 14, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants age 12 and up can learn this relaxing and creative art form.

Receive step-by-step guidance through the process of creating a paper quilled image. Learn techniques to roll, shape, and glue the paper coils to create a variety of designs, then make your own piece of art. Patterns will be provided.

All materials are included, and you will leave with a completed paper quill artwork. The workshop is $10 for adults and $5 for ages 12-18. Register on Eventbrite PaperQuillingWorkshop.eventbrite.com.

This event is part of both the ND250 commemoration of the United States' 250th birthday in 2026 and Vinterfest, a month-long celebration of winter on the northern Plains featuring educational programs, outdoor recreation, and cultural traditions.
