Residents Encouraged to Nominate Local Veteran for City's Annual Honored Veteran Award

ST. PETERSBURG, FL (September 24, 2024) -The City of St. Petersburg is pleased to announce that nominations for the Honored Veteran Award are open until Friday, October 11. Mayor Kenneth T. Welch will present this prestigious award to one or more exceptional local veterans in recognition of their service and dedication to our country during the 11th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11, at the Williams Park Veterans Memorial.

At last year's Veterans Day Celebration Event, Mayor Welch presented awards to Senior Airman Louis Williams, Air Force, Retired, and Colonel Lucie Marie Stagg, U.S. Army, Retired.
