MoDOT TRAFFIC ALERT: Eastgate Avenue Bridge CLOSED in Springfield, Beginning Monday, August 17,

Where: Eastgate Avenue Bridge CLOSED over the railroad, between Monroe Street and Lombard Street in Springfield

When: Beginning Monday, August 17, for up to two weeks

What: Utility company to relocate city utilities in preparation for future bridge replacement work.

Traffic Impacts:

• Eastgate Avenue Bridge CLOSED over the railroad, between Monroe Street and Lombard Street in Springfield
• Drivers will have access to driveways and entrances on either end of the work zone, but will not be able to travel through the work zone
• Signs and message boards will alert drivers approaching the work zone
• No signed detours
• Drivers will need to seek an alternate route to avoid the work zone
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closures/traffic impacts

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.
