Updated Traffic Advisory Calaveras County 07/28/25

One-Way Traffic Control

Calaveras County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control on State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-26 and SR-49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 4

  • One-way traffic control from Bonanza Mine Way to Appaloosa Road for highway construction work beginning Monday, July 28, 2025, through Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and Friday, August 1, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Big Trees/Tom Bell Road to Strawberry HI Road for shoulder work beginning Monday, July 28, 2025, through Thursday, July 31, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

State Route 26

  • Long-term, one-way traffic control from Gillhaven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
  • One-way traffic control from Double Springs Road to Paloma Road for tree work on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Andrew Lane to Main Street for tree work on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.

State Route 49

  • One-way traffic control from Church Street/Pine Street to Copello Road for survey work on Wednesday, July 31, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Nugget Drive to Spring Hills Road for tree work beginning Wednesday, July 30, 2025, through Friday, August 1, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
