NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (May 3, 2026) - New Brunswick City Center will host a Cinco de Mayo festival on May 5 from 3 to 8 p.m., closing George Street between Paterson and Bayard streets to vehicle traffic.
The event features live music from Mariachis New Jersey and Tempo Alegre, along with sets by DJ AC, DJ David S., and DJ Chris Magic. Activities include outdoor games such as Giant Jenga and interactive displays from local community organizations, including the State Theatre New Jersey and the Consulate of Mexico.
Food and beverage options will be provided by Fat Cactus Cantina, Las Marías Restaurante, and Crazy Corns. The festival includes an age-restricted zone for craft cocktails, while the rest of the event remains open to all ages.
The celebration also includes various local retailers and resources provided by the New Brunswick Free Public Library and UCEDA.
