State Police arrest Scotia woman for possessing Child Pornography

On November 15, 2024, State Police of Princetown, with the assistance of the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, arrested Sierra L. Cook, 27, of Scotia, NY, for Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child, a class "E" felony.

Cook is accused of possessing images consistent with child sexual exploitation. Her arrest followed an investigation and the execution of a search warrant at her residence in Scotia, NY, on November 15, 2024. The investigation stemmed from a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).

Cook was arrested and processed at SP Princetown. She was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Scotia Village Court on December 5, 2024.
