Notice of Public Meeting, City of Laramie, WY, Lead Service Line Project-Phase I

The City of Laramie, Wyoming, will conduct a public meeting at 5:00 p.m., local time, on February 9, 2026, at the City of Laramie Municipal Operations Center, North Platte Conference Room, located at 4373 N. 3rd Street, Laramie, WY 82072. The purpose of the meeting is to allow citizens to review and comment on the following project(s):


The City of Laramie plans to purchase a hydro-excavator truck to assist in complying with the Lead Service Line regulation posed by the EPA. This project is needed to complete the final system inventories, including identification of all unknown service lines and will assist in the City's compliance with federal regulations and help reduce future costs in compliance with federal Lead and Copper regulation.


At the meeting, the City of Laramie will present the preliminary design of the proposed project and will discuss the estimated cost of the improvements and the plan for funding the improvements. A preliminary plan of improvements, cost estimates, and the funding plan can also be reviewed at the City of Laramie Public Works Department, 4373 N. 3rd Street, or by contacting Shawn Klein, Public Works Deputy Director, at 307-721-5347.


Based on current estimates, the City of Laramie plans to borrow $640,000 from the Wyoming Drinking Water State Revolving Loan Fund administered by the Wyoming Office of State Lands and Investments. Current water user fees will repay the 7-year loan.
