Liberty Square Park Set to Host Middlesex County Jazz Festival on Thursday
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ (September 20, 2026) - The multi-day Middlesex County Jazz Festival is heading to New Brunswick next week, bringing live music, local dining, and community celebration to Liberty Square Park.
The downtown stop takes place Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 150 Neilson St. The evening opens with Cocomama, an all-female salsa band blending Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz improvisation. Headlining the night is acclaimed saxophonist, vocalist, and composer Camille Thurman, performing alongside the Darrell Green Quartet.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and enjoy food and beverages available for purchase from local downtown restaurants. While picnics are welcome, outside alcoholic beverages and dogs are prohibited, with the exception of certified service animals.
