Life-Insurance-Awareness-Month-How-Prudential-is-helping-more-individuals-and-families-protect-their-lifes-work

People work their whole lives to build something meaningful - a family, a home, a legacy. Everyone has something that's worth protecting. Prudential is meeting this need through its commitment to expanding access to life insurance, making coverage more accessible by redefining life insurance and empowering individuals and families to protect what matters most today and secure their financial futures at every stage of life. As September marks Life Insurance Awareness Month, Prudential invites individuals and families to take action - to learn, plan and secure their financial future.

With nearly 100 million American adults saying they need life insurance or more of it,1 Prudential's research on how Americans view generational wealth and legacy reveals widespread confusion about its full value - 73% are unclear about its role in building wealth, and 68% want more education on legacy planning.2 As financial stress is top of mind,3 especially around retirement and everyday expenses, Prudential is committed to helping more people understand the critical role of life insurance, both for long-term legacy planning and as a smart tool for building financial security today.

Prudential is turning these insights into action. The Individual Life Insurance business is meeting the moment with a broad product portfolio to meet customers where they are in their financial journeys, while innovating the customer experience to be more accessible and relevant.

"Driven by Prudential's Purpose, we're bringing forward-thinking strategies that help customers build financial security and unlock financial opportunities," says Salene Hitchcock-Gear, president, Individual Life Insurance. "Whether it's helping a family navigate an unexpected medical expense or empowering individuals to leave a lasting legacy, our commitment is unwavering: protect what matters most, every step of the way."

Prudential is consistently enhancing its broad product offerings to focus on helping solve customers' challenges and providing more protection and flexibility for every stage of life. Term products like the recently released EssentialTerm suite offers budget-friendly options to provide peace of mind for set periods with the flexibility to convert to permanent coverage for long-term planning. Permanent products like FlexGuard Life and Momentum IUL provide cash value growth potential and living benefits to support individuals during life's big moments. The product portfolio is complemented with a range of additional term and permanent solutions to give customers more choice around budget, coverage needs and individual goals.

The commitment also rings true through Prudential's efforts to expand access to underserved markets, including Black and Hispanic Americans, with community-driven initiatives like Blueprints to Black Wealth and the Hispanic Market Campaign. The tailored approaches through deepening community partnerships and authentic conversations enable opportunities to expand access and connect individuals to wealth-building tools and resources to create equitable pathways for everyone to become financially secure.

The efforts to expand access are rooted in Prudential's commitment to improving the experience of purchasing and owning life insurance. Prudential is reimagining how life insurance is offered and owned by leveraging artificial intelligence and digital tools to transform how it serves customers and to make the experience more personal and intuitive. The underwriting process can be daunting, especially for Gen Z and millennials, with less than a quarter feeling knowledgeable about it, often leading to hesitation in purchasing coverage.3 PruFast Track, Prudential's AI-powered accelerated underwriting, eliminates the need for medical exams and lab work, making the process smoother and simpler. Digital tools like the new Life Case Tracker further streamline the process, allowing customers to track their applications for greater transparency. These advancements are helping make life insurance more accessible and tailored to each customer's needs.
