Road Closure for Bridge Repair Work on Morretti Canyon Road
The bridge repair work on Morretti Canyon Road will occur approximately 1.5 miles east of Orcutt Road.

The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will perform repairs on Morretti Canyon Road bridge, approximately 1.5 miles east of Orcutt Road, from October 21 to October 23, 2025.
ARROYO GRANDE - The County of San Luis Obispo Department of Public Works will perform repairs on Morretti Canyon Road bridge, approximately 1.5 miles east of Orcutt Road, from October 21 to October 23, 2025. The bridge will be closed to traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day, and open outside of those hours. Please refer to the map for location.
This one bridge closure will deal with two issues.
1. There is a timber component that failed inspection and needs to be replaced.
2. The current bridge is weight restricted, limiting the capacity of heavy trucks that can use the bridge. After completion, the failed component will be replaced, and the weight restriction for this bridge will be removed.
In our best efforts to inform residents and businesses operators of planned work, we ask the public to plan for the closure. The proposed repairs will not allow vehicles or people to cross. This bridge closure may be an inconvenience, but this work is important to service residents and emergency vehicles.
