New York Fed to Host Event on Fostering and Improving Markets Investing in Under-Resourced Communities

November 04, 2025

NEW YORK-The Federal Reserve Bank of New York will host "Making Missing Markets: Connecting Communities and Capital" on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The hybrid event will explore ways to connect new sources of capital to community needs.

Speakers will highlight the vital role of community-based interventions and strategies to scale existing sources of capital for communities. Please see the event page for further details and the latest agenda.

The event is part of the New York Fed's Community Development efforts. The Community Development team works to understand the economic experiences of lower-income households and communities to help build a stronger economy for all Americans. Community development is one of the Federal Reserve's core functions as the U.S. central bank, rooted in the Fed's mandates from Congress.

This event is on the record and open to media, though space is limited. To register, please contact Ellen Simon at the New York Fed at [email protected].
