Kansas City area maintenance work for Sept. 28 - Oct. 2

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from September 28 until October 2. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 70 westbound before Blue Ridge Cutoff: right lane closed on Monday, Sept. 28, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for ditch work.

I-70 westbound at The Paseo: left lane closed on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for barrier wall work.

Missouri Route 78 at Missouri Route 7: right lane closed on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement repair work.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Route P between U.S. Route 50 and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Monday, Sept. 28, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route B between Route 2 and Henry Co. Route N: flagging operations on Tuesday, Sept. 29, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route T between Missouri Route 58 and Missouri Route 2: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

Route TT between Route T and end of state maintenance: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for seal coating.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Route 131 at various locations: flagging operations on Monday, Sept. 28 and Tuesday, Sept. 29, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.

Missouri Route 20 at various locations: flagging operations on Wednesday, Sept. 30 and Thursday, Oct. 1, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., for shoulder repair work.

RAY COUNTY

Route EE at Missouri Route 210: flagging operations on Thursday, Oct. 1, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for pavement work.

MoDOT maintenance crews often perform other tasks throughout the work week such as pothole patching, litter pick-up, sign repairs, brush cutting, and other operations that are not included above as they pose limited impacts to traffic.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
