Beginning in January 2026, City Hall will temporarily close for renovations. During this time, several City boards, commissions, and the City Council will hold their regular meetings at a new location to ensure public business continues without interruption.
The first meeting in the temporary City Council Chamber at Del Pepper Community Resource Center will take place on January 6, 2026, when the Planning Commission holds its first regular public meeting.
The Alexandria City Council will hold its first meeting in the temporary chambers on January 13, 2026.
For the duration of the City Hall renovation, the following meetings will be held in the City Council Chamber at Del Pepper Community Resource Center:
Meeting dates, times, and public participation options will remain the same unless otherwise noted. Residents should review individual meeting agendas for the most current information.

City Council Chamber at Del Pepper Community Resource Center

If you're taking public transit, the Del Pepper Community Resource Center is a five-minute walk from the Mark Center Transit Station and can be accessed through routes on the MetroBus and the free DASH Bus.
If you're driving a personal vehicle, a four-level parking garage is next to the Del Pepper Community Resource Center with elevator access to the building lobby. Free Parking is available for clients, City employees, and visitors.
