BEIJING, Oct. 29 -- Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong held video talks with Myanmar's Union Minister for Home Affairs Tun Tun Naung on Wednesday.

Wang said that China-Myanmar cooperation on combating telecom fraud has yielded significant results, which is reflective of the overall high-level cooperation between the two sides.

He said China stands ready to work with Myanmar to implement the important consensus reached between the leaders of the two countries, and deepen law enforcement and security cooperation in areas such as institutional development and capacity building.

China is also willing to work with Myanmar to closely monitor new trends in fraud-related crime across key regions, and to carry out sustained, efficient joint operations to eradicate breeding grounds for crime, with the aim of safeguarding the security of both nations and the well-being of their people.

Tun Tun Naung said that Myanmar attaches great importance to China's concerns, and will take further measures to crack down on crimes such as telecom fraud.
