Horizon Europe EU Missions: €10 million available for new climate and soil projects

Following the adoption of the Horizon Europe's 2026-2027 Work Programme for the EU Mission, a total of €10 million in EU funding is available under this call: HORIZON-MISS-2026-06-CLIMA-SOIL.

This call aims to support Innovation Actions contributing to the objectives of the EU Mission on Soil Health and Food and the EU Mission on Adaptation to Climate Change, helping translate research and innovation into concrete solutions.

Background

Horizon Europe is the EU's ambitious research and innovation programme for 2021-2027, with a budget of €95.5 billion. CINEA runs parts of the programme related to climate actionm energy, and mobility under Cluster 5, as well as three EU Missions:

  • Adaptation to Climate Change
  • Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030
  • 100 Climate-Neutral and Smart Cities by 2030

What are the requirements for applying?

Eligibility and submission requirements are detailed in the documents published on each individual call page.

The submitted proposals are evaluated by independent experts drawn from the European Commission's database of external evaluators. Applicants will receive the evaluation results at the latest five months after the submission deadline. Grant agreements will be signed with the successful applicants within eight months after the submission deadline.
