INDIVIDUALS INVOLVED: Austin W. Wells Age: 19 Address: Granville, NY
INCIDENT SUMMARY: According to Sheriff Jeffrey J. Murphy, the Washington County Sheriff's Office arrested Austin W. Wells (19) for Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony. An investigation determined that Wells falsely reported hours worked, when he was not currently working for the company in the Town of Hebron, from June 2024 to June 2025, and collected pay during this period which totaled over $40,000 dollars.
Wells was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment and will appear in the Town of Hebron Court at a later date.
