Public Health is Critical for Democracy – A Visit to Washington University

ASPPH's Chief External Relations & Advocacy officer, Tim Leshan, gave a talk this week at the Washington University in St. Louis - Brown School Public Health Programson Public Health Is Critical for Democracy. He said, "Democracy supports public health, but public health is also a cornerstone of a free and fair society." Leshan also talked about the potential impact of the upcoming election on public health. He also met with several students from across the globe who will be future leaders in civic engagement and global public health.
