Upcoming Planned Roadwork for Northeast Missouri, May 18 - 29, 2026

HANNIBAL - The following is a list of general highway maintenance work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northeast Missouri region for the next few weeks.

All road closures and planned roadwork may be viewed on the Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. MoDOT asks drivers to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, slowing down and moving over in work zones.

Adair County

Missouri Route 149 - May 22, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 6 to Missouri Route 11 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Missouri Route 149 - May 26, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 11 to Missouri Route 156 in Macon County between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Audrain County

Route T - May 21 - 22, CLOSED for patching operations from Route C to Route E between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

Route T - May 26 - 28, CLOSED for patching operations from Route E to Missouri Route 15 between 7:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route EE - May 19 - 20, CLOSED for patching operations from CR 140 to Missouri Route 151 between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

Clark County

Route K - May 20, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from Route N to CR 116 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route K - May 21, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from Tate Street to Missouri Route 136 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route K - May 26 & June 1, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from Meadow Avenue to Route NN between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route K - May 27, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from Route NN to Route N between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Route P - May 19, CLOSED for patching operations from Route K in Clark County to the Iowa state line between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Missouri Route 47 - May 18 - 19, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from East Cherry Street to Autumn Oaks Drive between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Missouri Route 149 - May 22, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 6 to Missouri Route 11 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Missouri Route 156 - May 19 - 21, CLOSED for bridge maintenance from 0.50 mile before and after the Cottonwood Creek bridge between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. A 10-foot restriction will be in please at the location where crews are actively working.

Route J - May 27, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 149 to Missouri Route 129 between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. daily.

Route EE - June 1, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 3 to Echo Avenue between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Route HH - June 1, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Missouri Route 3 to Route J between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Route JJ - May 27, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Route J to Aspen Street between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Marion County

Missouri Route 79 Northbound (Mark Twain Avenue) - May 26 - July 1, CLOSED for Hannibal stormwater construction project from North Street to Reservoir Street beginning Wednesday, April 22nd at 12:00 a.m. through Wednesday, July 1st at 12:00 a.m.

Montgomery County

I-70 - May 18 - 22, LANE RESTRICTION for shoulder work from the Callaway County line to the Warren County line between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Ralls County

Route J - March 13 - June 26, LANE RESTRICTION for bridge maintenance from Route EE continuing south to the end of the Clarence Cannon Dam bridge beginning Friday, March 13th at 7:00 a.m. through Friday, June 26th at 4:00 p.m. However, the bridge will be open to traffic beginning at 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 22nd until 7:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 26th for the Memorial Day weekend.

Randolph County

Route P - June 2, CLOSED for seal coat operations from Route NN to U.S. Route 63 between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Route NN - June 2, CLOSED for seal coat operations from U.S. Route 63 to Route Y between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Schuyler County

Route C - May 20 - 21, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from North Tower Avenue to Route N between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. daily.

Route K - June 1 - 3, CLOSED for asphalt pavement repair operations from Route B to U.S. Route 63 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route Z - June 4 & 8 - 9, CLOSED for patching operations from end of state maintenance to CR 202 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Route JJ - May 26 - 27, CLOSED for patching operations from Route B in Scotland County to Route N in Schuyler County between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. daily.

Shelby County

U.S. Route 36 (Eastbound) - May 19, LANE RESTRICTION for median channelization operations from 1.0 mile east of Missouri Route 15 to 1.5 miles west of CR 449 between 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.

Warren County

I-70 South Outer Road - May 18 -19, LANE RESTRICTION for patching operations from Wildcat Drive to Missouri Route 47 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. A 10-foot restriction will be in please at the location where crews are actively working.
