Good Neighbors Fund Celebrates 5 Years, Nearly $1.5M in Grant Funding

Range recently celebrated this year's Good Neighbors Fund (GNF) grant cycle, benefiting over 60 first responder organizations. Total grant distributions amounted to $250,000.

Since its inception in 2018, GNF has provided nearly $1.5M in first responder grants through the Washington County Community Foundation.

These grants would not be made possible without the support of our industry partners who contribute through our charitable fundraisers.

Tony Gaudlip, VP - Appalachia, says this is one of his favorite days of the year at Range.

"We have a lot of programs within the community, but this is one of my favorites. This is a chance to give back to those who serve us and our communities," Gaudlip said. "Range employees not only live and work in these communities, but some of them are EMTs and volunteer firefighters. They're also part of these first responder organizations," Gaudlip said.

Organizations this year used funding to purchase life-saving equipment, including turnout gear, radios, rescue equipment, and thermal imaging cameras.

These funds aren't just saving lives in the areas where we live and work; they're also helping fill funding gaps.

"The Range Resources Good Neighbors grants have directly impacted the lives of our residents, and even our firefighters. This life-saving technology, that we wouldn't have been able to afford otherwise, has been used on multiple occasions so far over the past several years in emergency situations. These assets go directly toward saving lives and we would not have equipment of this magnitude if it weren't for these grants."
