The Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) will conduct a major system upgrade to the Observe, Declare, and Deploy System (ODDS) database to enhance system performance and modernize our data infrastructure. As part of this upgrade, the ODDS application is expected to be unavailable from approximately 2:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., Alaska local time, on Thursday, September 25, 2025. Please note that this timing is approximate, and the outage may last longer than expected. System upgrades will continue through October 4, 2025, during which users may experience intermittent outages or temporary unavailability of the ODDS application.
To avoid disruption, we strongly encourage all users to log any planned trips well in advance using the ODDS online application . If the system is functional during this period, please continue to use it as the most efficient method for logging trips. However, if the application is unavailable and you need to log a trip, you may call the ODDS Help Center at 1-800-747-6377 for assistance. Our team will be available to log trips for you over the phone during any service interruptions.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important upgrades to improve the reliability and performance of the ODDS system.
