Ticket Reservations Due Friday for Marion's State of the City Address

Mayor Nick AbouAssaly will highlight the progress and forward-looking initiatives that make Marion a community where people and businesses thrive during the 32nd annual State of the City address. His presentation is entitled, "City of Opportunity."

The event will be held on Monday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the DoubleTree by Hilton Cedar Rapids Convention Center, 150 1st Avenue, Cedar Rapids. Doors will open at 11 a.m. for networking.

The event is hosted by the City of Marion with generous sponsorship support provided by Alliant Energy, Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, Mercy Medical Park in Marion, MidAmerican Energy, Ohnward Bank & Trust, Rinderknecht Associates, Simmons Perrine PLC and TrueNorth Companies.

Reservations for the luncheon are $50 per person or $500 for a table of 10 and may be purchased online at https://www.cityofmarion.org/SOC. Sponsored tables and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are due by Friday, Feb. 27. Advance payment serves as confirmation of the reservation.

A limited number of free, reserved seats will be available to allow individuals to attend and observe the presentation only. In addition, a recording of the presentation will be available for viewing after the event.
