MURDER-SUICIDE IN ANTELOPE

Just before 4 PM on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, Sacramento County Sheriff's North Patrol Deputies responded to a residence on the 3900 block of Running Bear Way in Antelope regarding a welfare check. The complainant, a concerned neighbor, reported they had not seen the residents for approximately one week and was concerned for his welfare. When Deputies arrived on scene, they looked through a window and observed an adult male lying on the ground. Concerned for his safety, Deputies entered the residence, where they discovered an adult male and an adult female suffering from fatal gunshot wounds.

Sheriff's Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene, began their investigation, interviewed witnesses, and began to gather evidence. Based on their investigation, Detectives determined that the adult male fatally shot the female and then turned the gun on himself.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased in accordance with their protocols.
