Rob Bresnahan Couldn’t Hide His Extreme And Out of Touch Record During Tonight’s Debate

While Matt Cartwright laid out the case for his reelection on the debate stage tonight, Rob Bresnahan's extremism and out of touch agenda was on full display.

Bresnahan can't run away from his record, and voters are taking note. Don't forget that Bresnahan…

  • Supported proposals that would demand massive cuts to critical programs like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.

  • Opposed the IRA's reforms that lowered prescription drug costs for millions of Pennsylvania residents.

  • Praised the decision that overturned Roe v. Wade and ripped reproductive health care away from women across the country, stating that "Dobbs did exactly what it should do."

  • Personally invested nearly $150,000 in a company that skirted US law to do business abroad in China, despite pretending to be tough-on-China.

    • Bresnahan was even exposed for manufacturing his campaign merchandise abroad in China, electing to save himself a few bucks at the expense of American industry and workers.

  • Endorsed a tax plan that would overwhelmingly benefit multi-millionaires like himself, while also adding $4.6 trillion to the deficit.

  • Opposes "major pro-union legislation like the PRO Act " which restores the right of workers to freely and fairly form a union and bargain together for changes in the workplace.

DCCC Spokesperson Aidan Johnson:
"Matt Cartwright confidently won tonight's debate, demonstrating again why he's the clear choice for voters in November. Meanwhile, Rob Bresnahan couldn't keep up his blue collar act and Northeastern Pennsylvanians saw him for the phony, out-of-touch sellout he is."
