U.S. Senator Katie Britt Commemorates Three Fallen Sailors on Sixth Anniversary of Naval Air Station Pensacola Terrorist Attack

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-Ala.) today recognized the fallen sailors, including Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson of Enterprise, Alabama, who were killed in a terrorist attack on December 6, 2019.

"Six years after the horrific terrorist attack at Naval Air Station Pensacola, we honor three courageous servicemen who made the ultimate sacrifice to safeguard our nation," said Senator Britt. "Ensign Joshua Kaleb Watson, Petty Officer Third Class Mohammed Haitham, and Petty Officer First Class Cameron Walters will never be forgotten for their outstanding bravery and patriotism. Today and every day, we honor their memories, pray for their loved ones, and recommit ourselves to not only confronting the threat of terrorism at home and abroad, but also protecting our nation's brave men and women in uniform."

Senator Britt joined Senators Rick Scott (R-Fla.), Ashley Moody (R-Fla.), Tommy Tuberville (R-Ala.), Raphael Warnock (D-Ga.), and Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.) in cosponsoring a resolution to honor the brave Americans that devoted their lives to defending our nation.
