Boston Scientific Corporation (NYSE: BSX) announced today that Miriam O'Sullivan has been promoted to senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Boston Scientific.
Miriam succeeds Executive Vice President, Human Resources Wendy Carruthers, who announced her intention to retire from the company, effective February 2025.
"Miriam has a broad base of HR experience with a demonstrated ability to lead large-scale business transformations," said Mike Mahoney, chairman and chief executive officer, Boston Scientific. "Her strong relationships across the company and her commitment to fostering a culture of inclusion and engagement make Miriam well suited to succeed Wendy in this role."

Miriam was previously group vice president of Human Resources, Cardiology, leading the company's Cardiology businesses, which include Interventional Cardiology Therapies, Cardiac Rhythm Management and Diagnostics, WATCHMAN and Electrophysiology. Miriam joined Boston Scientific in 2012 as director of Human Resources for the company's manufacturing site in Cork, Ireland. In 2014, she relocated to Massachusetts to support the Global Supply Chain organization and was promoted to vice president of Human Resources, Global Operations in 2017. In 2019, Miriam was promoted to the role of vice president of Human Resources, Interventional Cardiology.
Miriam holds a Bachelor of Business Studies with French from the University of Limerick, Ireland, and a Diploma in Employment Law from the National College of Ireland.
