Aptiv Announces Plan to Separate Its Electrical Distribution Systems Business

Paul, Weiss is advising global technology company Aptiv on its plan to separate its Electrical Distribution Systems (EDS) business through a tax-free spinoff to Aptiv shareholders, creating two independent companies. Following the separation, Aptiv will comprise the Advanced Safety & User Experience business and the Engineered Components Group. The transaction, which has been unanimously approved by Aptiv's board of directors, is subject to customary closing conditions.
