Applications now open for Osher Institute 2026 Faculty Grant

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Boise State invites full-time research faculty to apply for grants of up to $7,500 to support research, projects or scholarly work. The application deadline is Monday, March 9, 2026. Award recipients will be announced on April 15, 2026.

The Osher Faculty Grant is supported by the generosity of the Osher Institute members for the benefit of Boise State faculty. Funding is intended to defray expenses related to the proposed project; it is not a faculty stipend. The Osher Faculty Grant has awarded more than $234,000 since it was established in 2011.

Recipients of the 2025 Osher Faculty Grant were Javier Ochoa-Repáraz, Department of Biological Sciences; Manuel Gómez-Navarro, Department of World Languages and Emily Frichman-Mahaney, Department of History; and Kathleen Keys, Department of Art, Design, and Visual Studies. Grant recipients are invited to present findings of their research to the Osher audiences once the project is complete.

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is a membership-based lifelong learning program designed for intellectually curious adults age 50 and older. The Osher Institute is part of the Division of Extended Studies and hosts presenters that include university faculty, industry experts, authors and esteemed speakers from around the country on a wide variety of topics. Programs are provided in person and livestreamed to Osher members everywhere.
