Published: May 18, 2026

Schedule: May 26-27 and the week of Monday, June 1

Marin County - Caltrans, in partnership with PG&E, is scheduled to coordinate lane closures for the State Route 1 for the Lagunitas Creek Bridge Replacement Project.

PG&E utility pole relocation is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26 and Wednesday, May 27 as well as the week of Monday, June 1. A helicopter and two cranes will be utilized from Monday, June 1 through Wednesday, June 3.

Temporary lane closures on SR-1 near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard will be needed intermittently between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. during those days. No major traffic disruptions are expected for the two days in May.

Residents should expect some noise during helicopter and temporary pole installation.

Caltrans' construction for the project is tentatively scheduled for July 2026 once utility work is completed. One-way traffic control will be utilized for the project throughout the summer and fall. More specific days will be announced after utility relocation work.
