DOVER, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Commission is pleased to announce that it is now an authorized IdentoGO and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check provider. This new designation allows individuals to conveniently complete both federal and state background checks at the Commission's office in Dover.
As the central agency responsible for overseeing background screenings for all Delaware firefighters and emergency medical technicians (EMTs), the Commission continues its commitment to improving accessibility and streamlining services for emergency personnel statewide. With many individuals attending training at the Delaware State Fire School, the Commission plans to expand this service by offering on-site background checks during EMT classes, reducing the need for additional travel to meet mandatory requirements.
Now operating as a TSA Enrollment Center, the Delaware State Fire Commission offers a range of federal background screening services, including:
In addition to federal services, the IdentoGO platform also provides state and/or federal background checks required for EMTs, firefighters, and other licensed professionals.
These services are available to all members of the public who require background checks for employment, certification, or other official purposes-not solely emergency responders.
