Bojangles Opens in McKinney, Texas with Special Thank You to Local First Responders

Restaurant opens its doors after honoring McKinney Fire Department, Police Department, EMTs and medics with pre-opening event

MCKINNEY, TX - (March 17, 2026) - Bojangles, the legendary, Carolina-born chain celebrated for its iconic chicken, biscuits and tea, has officially opened in McKinney. Located at 200 South Central Expressway, the restaurant opened its doors to the public today at 5:30 a.m., bringing the brand's signature flavors and warm hospitality to the community.

This is the company's eighth location in the Dallas-Fort Worth DMA, with seven other restaurants in Dallas, Fort Worth, and Frisco.

To mark the occasion and show appreciation to those who protect and serve McKinney every day, Bojangles hosted a private Friends & Family-style event on March 16, honoring the town's first responders. The "First to Table" event welcomed local police officers, firefighters, EMTs and medics to be the first to enjoy Bojangles' menu, including favorites like Bo's Chicken Sandwich, Chicken Tenders and Bo-Berry Biscuits. The event featured a special "biscuit cutting" ceremony - a Bojangles twist on the traditional ribbon cutting - with city officials, first responders and Bojangles representatives.
