Get ready for your dog to make a splash! The City of Kirkland's sixth annual See Spot Splash returns Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, bringing a day of swimming, zoomies, and dog-friendly fun to Peter Kirk Community Pool and Lee Johnson Field.

"Our parks and public spaces are here for the whole community, and once a year, that includes handing over the pool to the dogs," said Councilmember John Tymczyszyn. "See Spot Splash has become a fun Kirkland tradition, and we're excited to welcome dogs and their people back before we close the pool for the winter."

See Spot Splash features dog swimming sessions at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 12 p.m., 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., followed by off-leash fun next door at Lee Johnson Field. Registration is required for dogs participating in a swimming session. Pre-registration is highly recommended for all. Day-of registration may be available if space allows. Cost is $10 per dog.

While the dogs splash, their humans can visit vendors and information booths. Attendees can also stop for a fun photo with their furry friends. Pups might even get to say "awoo" to a Kirkland Councilmember.

See Spot Splash 2026 is made possible with support from sponsors Emerald City Orthodontics and Chewy Vet Care.

To register, please visit www.kirklandparks.net. Please note: All dogs must be well-behaved, on a leash to enter, licensed, and have their vaccines. Not licensed? Peter Kirk Community Pool is located at 352 Kirkland Avenue. The last day of the pool's regular summer season is Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7.
