City of West Hollywood is Accepting Nominations for 28th Annual Disability Service Awards

The City of West Hollywood and its Disabilities Advisory Board have opened nominations for the 28th Annual Disability Service Awards. Members of the West Hollywood community are encouraged to nominate in the categories of individuals, businesses, the media, and nonprofit organizations for recognition of work with people living with disabilities, including accessibility issues, attention to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, or advocacy.

Please note, current or previous City staff are not eligible to be nominated and no City Advisory Board member or Commissioner who is serving or has served within the prior year can be nominated. A complete list of the Service Awards Rules and Procedures is available on the City's website.

Nominations for this year's Disability Service Awards will be accepted until Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 5 p.m. Self-nominations are welcome. Honorees will be selected by the City of West Hollywood's Disabilities Advisory Board. Nominations may be submitted electronically using the online nomination form at go.weho.org/DSAform. The nomination form is also available as a printable PDF at go.weho.org/disabilityserviceawards. On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, at 6 p.m. the City of West Hollywood will host the 28th Annual Disability Service Awards at a special televised meeting of the Disabilities Advisory Board at the City's Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room located at 625 N. San Vicente Boulevard. The Disability Service Awards will also be broadcast by WeHoTV on various platforms. Please visit www.weho.org/wehotv for all the viewing options.

The City of West Hollywood's Disabilities Advisory Board was created May 1, 1995, and is comprised of five (5) members appointed by individual Councilmembers and two (2) members appointed by the Council as a whole (at-large). Each member of the Board serves a two-year term commencing March 1st following a general municipal election.
