On July 9, 2025, around 8:00 a.m., a woman who appeared to be in distress in the area of Bannatyne Avenue and Rorie Street noticed two bystanders looking at her. She became upset, confronted the two women and they were assaulted with bear spray. The women suffered exposure injuries but did not require medical attention.
Central District General Patrol officers responded and arrested the suspect a short time later in the 500 block of Main Street.
A 16-year-old girl has been charged with assault with a weapon x 2, possession of a weapon, and fail to comply with a sentence order, and held in custody.
