The City Council will proclaim January 27 as the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the Holocaust victims as well recognize some outstanding student musicians, among other business.
The business portion of Tuesday's meeting begins at 6 pm in the Council Chamber at 200 Civic Center.
In proclaiming the International Day of Commemoration, the Council will encourage all community members to reflect on this significant day of remembrance.
The evening will also include a check presentation to Big Brothers Big Sisters from funds raised at the 5th Annual Konrad Reuland Charity Tennis/Pickleball Tournament. The money will support Big Brothers Big Sisters, which provides resources and mentorships to disadvantaged youth with aspirations of attending college and pursuing their dreams. Registration is now open for the 6th Annual Tournament in March.
In addition, Council Members will recognize the Trabuco Hills High School Thundering Mustangs Marching Unit and Symphony Orchestra for their recent participation in the London New Year's Day Parade and Concert Series and performance in front of a global audience of millions.
