The University of Minnesota Crookston is pleased to announce Larry Dooley has been named the next Director of Facilities and Operations. Dooley began his new role on campus in July 2025.
Dooley recently served as the senior project manager at the University of Michigan. Prior to that role, he was a power plant engineer for Ferris State University for 20 years and served under the U.S. Air Force for six years. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Janet, for 43 years and they have two grown children and four grandchildren.
"I'm honored and incredibly excited to step into the role of Director of Facilities and Operations at the University of Minnesota Crookston campus," said Dooley. "This campus has a strong legacy of innovation, sustainability, and student-centered excellence, and I look forward to working with our incredibly dedicated team to continue that tradition."
"Together, we'll continue to create facilities that support learning, growth, and community," he added. "We look forward to integrating with the Crookston community!"
The Director of Facilities and Operations is responsible for providing leadership and administrative direction regarding services and functions for the physical operation and maintenance of the campus.
