UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees select 40 new members for the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Board of Trustees selected 40 alumni and community leaders to serve on the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Visitors for a four-year term starting July 1, 2026.

Selected members serve as ambassadors to inform their communities about the University's priorities and, in turn, educate the University on how it can best serve communities around the world. The board is comprised of more than 200 members across the country who actively engage and assist the UNC-Chapel Hill Board of Trustees and Chancellor Lee H. Roberts. Members also offer their professional expertise and experience while serving on one or more of five subcommittees. In that capacity, members partner with Honors Carolina to recruit top-tier students to Carolina, mentor current students as they navigate their transition to the workforce and respond to the need for ongoing communication with local, state and federal leaders.

Kari Stoltz of Raleigh, North Carolina, will serve as chair with Dr. Sanjib Mohanty of Charlotte, North Carolina, as vice chair. James F. Ammons of Fayetteville, North Carolina, will serve as the immediate past chair.
