Honoring the Life and Legacy of Fallen Deputy Elijah Ming

Last weekend, we all were deeply saddened by the senseless incident that occurred and resulted in the death of Wyandotte County Sheriff's Deputy Elijah Ming.

Our prayers, compassion, and heartfelt condolences are with Deputy Ming's family, friends, and the entire Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office.

Please continue to keep our community and all those impacted by this tragedy in your prayers.

Community Candlelight Vigil - Honoring the Life and Legacy of Deputy Ming

In honor of the sacrifice given by Deputy Elijah Ming, the Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office and the Unified Government will hold a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, July 30, at 8:30 p.m. in front of the Wyandotte County Courthouse (710 N 7th Street, KCK). In the event of inclement weather, the vigil will be moved inside to Memorial Hall (600 N. 7th Street, KCK)

Donations can also be taken to any branch of the Public Safety Credit Union, which are linked below. Please inform them that your donation is for the Memorial Account for Elijah Ming and they will take care of the rest. ALL proceeds collected will be donated directly to the family.
