Upgraded Payment Website Brings Enhancements, New Payment Methods

April 04, 2025

Midwest Energy will upgrade its online payment portal Monday, April 14. The new site enhances customer experience when accessing Midwest Energy online accounts with a modernized interface, new payment options and new self-service features.

To facilitate the upgrade, the online payment portal will be offline from 1 a.m. Saturday, April 12 through 9 a.m. on Monday, April 14.

Key among changes is the introduction of digital wallet options for EZ Pay one-time payments. Beginning April 14, customers can use Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo and PayPal, providing greater flexibility in payment methods. These digital wallet options incur a processing fee and are only available for one-time payments. Customers who enroll in automatic bill pay will still need to make recurring payments via bank draft.

The upgrade also delivers several user enhancements:

  • The revamped site offers a more intuitive navigation experience, making it easier for customers to manage their accounts.
  • Customers can now add multiple accounts to their profiles without calling into Midwest Energy.
  • A new "e-mail alerts" feature allows customers to receive notifications on account parameters they define.
  • A password reset function allows users to regain account access via self-service tools.

The Kubra upgrade aligns with Midwest Energy's ongoing commitment to improving digital accessibility and customer convenience. Customers are encouraged to explore the new features and reach out to customer service at 1-800-222-3121 with any questions.
