Temporary Road Closure Near Rivertown Road At Cedar Grove Road

The Rivertown Road at Cedar Grove Road roundabout project is currently in a Stage 1 detour while work is being completed on Rivertown Road. The project will begin a Stage 2 and 3 detour to complete construction operations on Rivertown Road and Cedar Grove Road. The project entails the construction of a roundabout and additional improvements including drainage, adding a 2.5-ft. curb & gutter, 2-ft. stamped concrete, and 5-ft. wide sidewalks throughout project limits.

The construction will require the need for temporary road closure of a section on Rivertown Road, east of Cedar Grove Road. The duration of the detour is expected to be 30 calendar days, April 15 - May 15, 2025.

During the closure, local traffic will still be allowed to access local homes, however, through traffic will be prohibited. Traffic will be temporarily detoured along the signed detour route following Virlyn B. Smith Road to Roosevelt Highway (US 29 / SR 14) toHobgood Road to navigate around the closure. Motorists are asked to avoid the area, if possible, plan accordingly, and anticipate delays.
