Buckeye police have located 68-year-old Richard Guy deceased. He was reported missing last week. We share our deepest condolences with Richard's family and loved ones in this difficult time.

Richard was reportedly last seen at his Buckeye home on Monday, August 18. Family contacted Buckeye police on Thursday, August 21, to report him missing. Officers began working to contact Richard. Then yesterday, August 25, Richard's car was located at a private lot near Miller Rd and Sunrise Dr. Buckeye police began a search of the area utilizing off-road vehicles, drones and cadaver dogs. A Silver Alert was activated. The search resumed early this morning. Before 6:30 a.m. Richard's body was found in a desert area approximately 200 yards away from his car in an advanced state of decomposition. The Maricopa County Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.

Buckeye police want to thank the community for their assistance and the volunteers with Maricopa K9 Search and Rescue who generously gave their time and resources to help us find Richard.
