New ReMA Member Spotlight: BlackBridge Recycling

Based in Wall, New Jersey, BlackBridge Recycling connects suppliers and end-of-life users to build long-term value in recycling. With more than 15 years of experience, the company focuses on building long-term partnerships that drive business growth and sustainability.

ReMA News spoke with Chris Goger, Senior Director of Recycling at Blackbridge Recycling, about the company's goals, the decision to join ReMA, and where he sees the recycled materials industry moving forward in the next several years.

How did you hear about ReMA and how did you decide to join the association?

We had seen ReMA through industry publications and social media, but we had the chance to connect with ReMA's membership team at the ReMA booth at the Plastics Recycling Conference in San Diego earlier this year. We have always been impressed by ReMA's online presence and events, and the friendly, helpful, and warm welcome we received from the ReMA team made a real difference. After learning more through those conversations and follow ups, we became excited about the opportunities to network, share knowledge, and stay informed on recycling markets, current events, and legislation.

What excites you about being a new ReMA member?

We are excited to work alongside like-minded people and organizations to help drive positive changes across the recycled materials industry. We look forward to sharing market insights on both local and national levels.

Through BlackBridge Recycling we trade recycled commodities daily and closely monitor markets, and through BlackBridge Logistics we track freight markets and manage transportation across multiple modes. Our goal is always to help partners increase revenue, find savings, and ensure as much recyclable material as possible reaches end users to support a circular economy. We are also excited to attend events and conferences across the country and build strong relationships throughout the industry.

What are your short-term and long-term goals for the company?

In the short term, our focus is helping suppliers and end users navigate market volatility and make better decisions in uncertain conditions while supporting growth and stability in the US recycling market. Long term, we want to continue expanding our partnerships and helping more recyclable material stay out of landfills and move into productive end markets. Our purpose in this industry is to consistently add value to every interaction whether that is in transactions, relationships, or the movement of material across the supply chain.

Where do you see the recycled materials industry moving forward in the next several years?

We expect to see new companies enter the market and develop innovative uses for recycled materials that are not widely used today. There is significant opportunity for creative and sustainable products made from recycled feedstock. A key focus will be identifying these companies early, supporting their growth, and helping them become meaningful contributors to the broader recycling ecosystem.
