Venture College launches drop-in hours at The Junction

Beginning Friday, Feb. 13, 2026, Venture College will host weekly drop-in hours at The Junction, inviting students, faculty, staff and community members to explore entrepreneurial ideas, connect with campus resources and tour the new incubation space. The space will be open for drop-in visits from 9 a.m.-noon every Friday through the Spring 2026 semester. The Junction is located at 2225 University Drive, Boise, ID 83706.

Drop-in hours are designed for anyone curious about entrepreneurship - whether participants are developing an early-stage business idea, seeking feedback, or simply interested in learning more about innovation and venture development opportunities at Boise State. No registration is required.

"These drop-in hours are meant to lower the barrier to entrepreneurship," said Cara Van Sant, director of Venture College. "We want students, faculty and staff, and community members to feel comfortable stopping by, asking questions, and exploring what's possible - whether they have a fully formed idea or are just getting started."

Visitors can meet with the Venture College team to discuss ideas, receive informal guidance and learn more about Venture College programs, workshops, and pitch competitions available throughout the academic year.

The Junction is a university-wide effort designed to strengthen Boise State's capacity for business innovation, research translation and venture creation through a dynamic network campus partners. Week-to-week, junction partners may be available to offer more information about their area of expertise including licensing and commercialization and industry partnerships.

Venture College relocated to The Junction in December 2025 and is currently hosting Trailhead's Idaho Start-up Lab and the Venture College Incubator. Together, these programs offer a range of educational experiences, mentorship opportunities and support services aimed at helping founders move ideas from concept to launch. More campus partners will relocate to this space following renovations in the spring of 2026.
