Bank Independent Celebrates Grand Opening of Hartselle Sales Office

Bank Independent marked another exciting milestone in its commitment to serving Hartselle and Morgan County with a ribbon-cutting on Thursday, August 20, celebrating the grand opening of its newly relocated Hartselle sales office. The brand-new office provides a welcoming space designed to better serve customers while strengthening the bank's presence and relationships within the Hartselle community.

"Hartselle and the greater Morgan County community have meant a great deal to Bank Independent for many years," said Bob Thompson, Morgan County Area President at Bank Independent. "We're proud to be part of a community that values strong relationships, supports local businesses, and continues to invest in its future. This new office reflects our continued commitment to serving the families, businesses, and organizations that make Hartselle such a special place. While the building itself is important, it's the people inside who truly make the difference. We're fortunate to have a team that cares deeply about this community and the people who call it home. We're excited about what this new office allows us to do, but even more excited about the relationships we'll continue to build here for years to come."

In November 2005, Bank Independent acquired several branches from Colonial Bank including one located in Hartselle. That office has allowed Bank Independent to serve the Hartselle community for the last 21 years, but it didn't quite have the look and feel that is synonymous with Bank Independent. The new 3,800-square-foot facility is designed in Bank Independent's signature Colonial Williamsburg style combining timeless charm with modern touches. The goal was to create a welcoming space for both team members and customers that also allows for high-level operational efficiency.

"This is a spectacular facility, and we're proud of the investment it represents in Hartselle," said Macke Mauldin, CEO of Bank Independent. "An investment like this is possible because of the strong leadership and spirit of partnership that exist throughout this community. Hartselle has a long history of public and private leaders working together to create opportunities, support growth, and move the community forward. That kind of collaboration is one of the reasons we continue to invest here. We have an exceptional team serving Hartselle and an outstanding team across Bank Independent, and we're excited to give them a facility that reflects the quality of the service they provide every day. More importantly, this office represents our confidence in Hartselle and our commitment to being part of its future for many years to come."

"From the quality of this building to Bank Independent's continued investment in the community, this project is a testament to the way they do business," said State Senator Arthur Orr. "Many companies talk about their commitment to quality and to the communities they serve, but investments like this speak for themselves. I appreciate Bank Independent's continued commitment to Hartselle and the people who call this community home."

The event also featured remarks from Hartselle Mayor Missy Evans:

"Hartselle has been fortunate to have Bank Independent as part of our community for decades and today is less about welcoming a new business and more about saying thank you. Thank you for continuing to invest in Hartselle and for choosing to deepen your commitment to this community. This beautiful new office reflects the integrity and dedication Bank Independent has demonstrated here for many years. Investments like this send an important message to our businesses, our residents, and the entire region about Hartselle's role in the continued growth of North Alabama. We are grateful for Bank Independent's ongoing commitment and excited about what it means for our community's future."

With more than 33 locations across North Alabama and a digital sales office, Bank Independent continues to distinguish itself in a highly competitive industry by maintaining a steadfast focus on service, integrity, and community.
