Permit work requires temporary rolling stops on US-169 at NW Martin Rd. to NE 144th St., Oct. 5

CLAY COUNTY - Permit work for utility operations will take place on northbound/southbound US-169 at NW Martin Rd./NE 144th St. on Sunday, October 5 from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Smithville Police Department will assist with traffic control for a temporary rolling stop between the hours of 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. for approx. 15 minutes. Motorists may experience delays. All work is weather permitting.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
