Feb. 23, 2026 - St. Pete's waterfront comes to life February 27-March 1, 2026, as the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg returns for another thrilling weekend on the streets of downtown. From seasoned racing fans to first-timers seeking excitement, there's something for everyone at this three-day event.

Parking
Parking at Tropicana Field Rays Lot 6 & 7 only. Enter the lots at 3rd Ave. S and Dr. MLK Jr St. S and head west to the main entrance at 10th St. S.

Accessible Parking (Fri/Sat/Sun)
All permanent public, on-street accessible spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional on-street accessible spaces are available on the north side of Central Avenue between 1st and 2nd Streets. The SouthCore and USF St. Pete garages and Tropicana Field lots provide accessible parking at the prevailing rate. The USF St. Pete garage is recommended for those with limited mobility wishing to enter the 5th Ave. S gate (Gate 5) and the SouthCore garage is recommended for those wishing to enter the 1st Ave. S gate (Gate 1). Parking fee at SouthCore Garage is $25 for Friday, $30 for Saturday and Sunday.
Tropicana Field's Lots 6 and 7 will be available for $30 per day on a first-come, first-served basis. This includes a free shuttle service to and from the event site. The Central Garage at 1398 1st Ave. N is a brand new parking structure with over 500 spaces. Its entrance is on 1st Ave. N between 13th and 15th Streets and accessible via a short walk to SunRunner stops at 13th St. and 1st Ave. S for east-bound service and the route back to the garage drops passengers right by the garage - at 1st Ave. N and 13th St.
Motorcycle Parking (Fri/Sat/Sun)
Available for $15, along the west side of 1st St. S between 1st Ave. S and Central Ave.
SunRunner Service
Skip the traffic and let the pros do the driving: the SunRunner is the Official Mode of Transportation for Firestone Grand Prix! The SunRunner will take you straight to Gate 1 with a stop at 1st Ave. N and 1st St. S, just outside of Who's On First. Gate 5 is also just a short walk away from the SunRunner stop at 3rd St. S. Bring the whole crew: use promo code "CREW" to get a Group pass for $3 in the Flamingo Fares app.
Shuttle Service from Tropicana Field Parking
Buses and trolleys will provide a free shuttle to the Grand Prix. Trolleys are equipped with a wheelchair lift.

Bike Share and E-Scooters
Lime Bike Share has over 200 bikes throughout the Greater Downtown. The nearest available hub is located on 2nd St. S near 6th Ave. S. Visit Li.me for more information or download the Lime app to your phone.
E-Scooters are also available throughout the greater downtown area through Lime or Spin. The nearest available corral is located on 2nd St. S near 6th Ave. S. Download the Lime and Spin apps to your phone for more information and access to a ride.
During the Grand Prix weekend events, the following nearby roads will be closed:
6th Ave. S, 5th Ave. S, 4th Ave. S, and 2nd Ave. S east of 2nd St. will all be closed
1st Ave. S and Central Ave. east of 1st St. will be closed
Bayshore Drive south of 2nd Ave. NE will be closed except for traffic accessing Demens Landing
