CARLISLE, PA. - On July 15th, Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) Chairman John Jovanovic participated in Senator Dave McCormick's (R-PA) Pennsylvania Defense and Innovation Summit, joining a panel discussion focused on strengthening America's industrial base, securing critical supply chains, and boosting manufacturing capacity. Chairman Jovanovic was joined by Jonathan Gray, President & Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone, Shyam Shankar, Chief Technology Officer of Palantir, and James Taiclet, Chief Executive Officer of Lockheed Martin. The panel was moderated by Dina Powell McCormick.

"If we say national security is economic security, what we're really saying is that supply chain security and resiliency are foundational," said Chairman Jovanovic. "EXIM was created in 1934 to revitalize the U.S. economy, and the challenges the United States faced then are some of the same ones we face today. How do we rebuild our industrial base? How do we ensure our innovators can deliver for America? That's where the real chokepoint lies and that's where EXIM is getting to work."
